Our
Story

After two years in journalism school, Olivia Integlia felt discouraged by the path journalism was taking. In an attempt to restructure the industry and write meaningful, well-researched stories without a hidden agenda, she founded The Intel.

This not-for-profit outlet has the sole purpose of informing the public. The work published explores subjects that are either suppressed or misrepresented by mainstream media.

All individuals are also encouraged to contribute to the outlet, though students will be prioritized. They will be able to work alongside Olivia, a former news and opinions editor for a local Montreal newspaper, in a welcoming, judgment-free learning space.

While all writers will be working on a volunteer basis, they will earn valuable experience and build their portfolio, allowing them to enter this competitve field.
